Witness appeal after commercial burglary in Wareham

Officers in Wareham are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a commercial burglary in Wareham – with images of the stolen property being released (see below).

The burglary occurred at a unit at Admiralty Park sometime between Friday 25 March and Monday 28 March 2016.

The storage unit and workshop houses model aircraft that are used for commercial purposes and aerial photography.

Items stolen include a unique large three metre wingspan model aircraft powered by a jet engine, model helicopters and engines for model jets and planes.

Police Constable Jon Kuspert, of Wareham police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area over the Bank Holiday weekend to contact me on 101.

“The items that were taken are very distinctive and anyone who may have been offered or seen such items for sale should contact us immediately.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 23:270. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
